The short version

Pinfig is local-first. Your files (notes, boards, drawings, chats, contents, agents, etc.) live on your device. We do not collect them, sync them, or read them. The only data we collect is basic technical information to keep the app running and improve it over time.

1. What we collect

Pinfig's website and desktop app use a web analytics system that respects user privacy. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data collection. GDPR and PECR compliant.

We gather completely anonymous telemetry (page views) to help us improve the site and the app and provide a better user experience.

Never collected

This is a non-exhaustive list of things we do not collect.

• File paths and contents — never collected
• AI prompts and responses — never collected
• Clipboard contents or keystrokes — never collected
• IP address or location — never collected

2. If you create an account

If you create a Pinfig account or buy a subscription, we also collect:

• Email address (to manage your subscription and send receipts)

Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

We do not sell your email. We do not send marketing emails.

3. Cloud sync and P2P

By default, we do not sync anything and nothing leaves your device.

If you choose sharing features you give us a limited temporary right to store and transfer that content — only for the purpose of providing those features to you. Nothing more.

If you choose to use P2P collaboration, text content is transferred directly between devices — it does not pass through our servers. Images and files in P2P collaboration do pass through our servers but are deleted once transferred between peers.

4. AI tools

When you use local LLMs, your prompts and responses never leave your device.

When you use BYOK (bring your own API key), your prompts go directly to the provider you chose — not through us. The providers' privacy policy applies to that data.

We never see, store, or log your AI prompts or responses under any circumstance.

5. Third-party tools

• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
• LLM providers — the terms and privacy policy of any LLM provider you use in Pinfig apply.

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Request your account data — email human at pinfig.com
• Delete your account — email human at pinfig.com and we will remove it within 30 days

7. Children

Pinfig is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe this has happened, contact us immediately.
